“Uplift your Self and others” ~ Yogi Bhajan.  We will explore the technology of Kundalini Yoga, the raj yoga of awareness, as taught by Yogi Bahjan. This once secret form of yoga originating over 5,000 years ago, was brought to the United States in 1969 and utilizes mudra (hand gestures), mantra (sound vibrations), asana(poses), kriya (complete actions) and pranayam (breath exercises). We work on balancing the nervous and glandular systems in order to bring the mind, body and spirit into balance. Each class we will experience a yoga kriya, meditation, and gong meditation. All ages and abilities welcome! No prerequisite courses necessary.

Go with the Flow Yoga

Go with the Flow is a vinyasa style class that flows with the breath and the beat of music with positive grooves and messages.  The class is designed for all levels and encourages participants to listen closely to the messages sent to them by their body, mind and spirit and exercise “right action” in the moment (do what’s right for their body in the present moment).  The spirit of the class is non-competitive and heart-centered.  Coordinating movement and breath and flowing from pose to pose, the practice becomes a moving meditation.  The class follows the format of warm-up, fluid work/poses, deeper stretches/floor work, core-work, progressive relaxation and final relaxation (Shivasana).

Men’s Yoga

Jen’s laid back approach to yoga welcomes you to jump on a mat and accomplish things you may not have imagined possible. This relaxing mixed level class focuses on whole body strength building through the exploration of arm balances, inversions, core, and leg work.  Appropriate for beginners to advanced students.

Hatha Flow Yoga

Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga, the moderate Vinyasa style class is held in a 90 degree room. The benefits of
practicing in a heated environment is that it helps to detoxify the body through perspiration, as well as allowing the body to move into deeper poses earlier in the class. It is recommended that you do not eat at least two hours prior to the class, and also drink plenty of water and fluids throughout the day. You may want to bring a small towel and a bottle of water with you to this class. This class is not recommended for beginners.

Music Together®

Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music and movement program for children from birth through age 7—and the grownups who love them. First offered to the public in 1987, it pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement.

Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical. All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning. Our mixed ages class follows the recommendations of child development researchers—grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments. Any caregivers—parents, grandparents, nanny—can bring the children. The whole family is welcome for this important family music experience.
